Update: The Galaxy can clinch a playoff berth with a win over Toronto, the team with the worst record in Major League Soccer and one that hasn’t won since Aug. 1. The Galaxy is on a different kind of streak, having gone 8-1-2 in its last 11 games, giving up only one goal in its last five matches. The Galaxy isn’t expected to be full strength in this one, however, because midfielder David Beckham did not practice Friday because of a sprained left ankle and probably will sit out.
