Indiana Pacers star Paul George had an unexpected visitor in the hospital after he was out of surgery for a broken leg.
Floyd Mayweather Jr., the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world, stopped by Saturday to check on Paul and talked to him about the road ahead, according to pictures the two posted on social media.
"Appreciate the champ @floydmayweather visiting me in the hospital.. Gave me some great advice and kept my spirits high!! Appreciate you once again big bro! #TBE #TMTFollow," Paul wrote on a picture of the two men in the hospital.
As of 9 p.m. Sunday, the photo had more than 272,000 "likes" on Instagram.
Paul suffered a compound fracture of the tibia and fibula, according to IndyStar Sports.
The gruesome injury occurred live on TV while the 6-foot-10 All-Star forward contested a shot by James Harden on Friday during a Team USA basketball scrimmage in Las Vegas.
The remainder of the scrimmage was canceled after George was taken off the court on a stretcher.
Immediately after the fall, George's name began trending No. 1 worldwide on Twitter.
