Galaxy shifts March 15 game against D.C. United to Aug. 27

The Galaxy said Friday that its March 15 home game against D.C. United has been rescheduled for Aug. 27 because of the Galaxy’s play in the CONCACAF Champions League tournament.

The match against D.C. United at StubHub Center in Carson now is set for 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 27.

The Galaxy plays host to Club Tijuana on March 12 in the first leg of a two-game quarterfinal series in the CONCACAF event. The second game is scheduled in Tijuana on March 18.

CONCACAF is a federation of club teams mainly from North America and Central America.

The Galaxy advanced to the quarterfinals by compiling a 3-1-0 record in the initial group-stage play against Isidro Metapan of El Salvador and CS Cartagines of Costa Rica.
