UFC’s Mike Goldberg reacts poorly to criticism of his NFL announcing gig

Share

Mike Goldberg, best known for being the main announcer for UFC, was the play-by-play man for the Minnesota Vikings-Detroit Lions game on Sunday on Fox. And he was bad. Really, really bad. You could have pulled a random NFL fan off the street and that random fan would have done a better job. But don’t tell Mike Goldberg that.

You see, after a game in which he constantly misidentified players, called phantom first downs, got faked out on play-action passes, and generally seemed to be witnessing his first NFL game ever, Goldberg was heavily criticized on Twitter. And he did not react well.

In a series of tweets, Goldberg cursed out some fans and called them names in response to their criticism of him. He later deleted his tweets, but not before several news outlets reported it.

You would think a guy who called mixed-martial arts for a living would have a thicker skin.
