Miss Texas botches first pitch at Texas Rangers-Angels game
Move over 50 Cent and Carly Rae Jepsen, there’s a new candidate for worst ceremonial pitch ever.
The latest contender for the coveted crown is Monique Evans, who is better known these days as Miss Texas.
Evans had the opportunity of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before Friday night’s game between the Texas Rangers and Angels, and things didn’t go so well.
While trying to pull of unique pitching windup that appeared to be some sort of weird hybrid of ballet and bowling, Evans completely botched the throw. The ball hit the grass a few feet in front of the pitcher’s mound before ricocheting off the diamond.
Still, it might be the best pitch ever thrown by someone wearing a crown.
