Should the PGA Tour try to speed things up? [Poll]

In a sport that isn’t lightning fast to begin with, Kevin Na has earned a reputation as one of the slowest players on the PGA Tour.

His glacial pace at the Valspar Championship over the weekend has revived calls for golf to institute a basketball-like shot clock.

Don’t look for Na -- who was cited for pace of play during the third round -- to support a change.

“I got criticized but I really don’t think it’s fair,” he said after the tournament. “I was just playing my game. I know if I play my game it’s not going to be an issue.”

After Saturday’s round, the caddie for his playing partner, Robert Garrigus, said “it ain’t fair” to be slowed down. Na responded with a strong performance on Sunday, finishing second to John Senden in windy conditions.

This pace-of-play issue comes up regularly on the tour, and fans might enjoy a quicker pace. But officials have resisted any meaningful action.
