Tiger Woods planning a busy summer

Riding the momentum of a solid showing at the Masters, Tiger Woods has committed to play in at least five more tournaments through early August.

Woods tweeted on Wednesday that he will be at the U.S. Open, the British Open, the Memorial Tournament, the Greenbrier Classic and the Quicken Loans National.

“Going to be a busy summer,” he wrote.

In fact, it will be his busiest stretch since he withdrew from the PGA Tour last summer with lingering back problems.

His return to competitive golf this year began with a missed cut and a withdrawal. Even his performance at Augusta National, where he tied for 17th place, was tempered by a wrist injury that occurred when he struck a root mid-swing.
