USC football: Defensive lineman Kenny Bigelow has season-ending injury
USC defensive lineman Kenny Bigelow suffered a knee injury that will force him to sit out the 2014 season, the school announced.
Bigelow, a 6-foot-3, 300-pound redshirt freshman from Elkton, Md., was injured during a voluntary player workout, the school said.
Last year, freshman receiver Steven Mitchell suffered a season-ending knee injury during a voluntary player workout.
Bigelow was expected to fortify a defensive line that features junior Leonard Williams, who is regarded as an All-American candidate and high NFL draft pick.
USC opens training camp next month.
The Trojans open the season Aug. 30 against Fresno State.
