Next week is the final week of the regular season in prep baseball, so in the City Section, it should be no surprise that El Camino Real and Chatsworth are headed for a final two-game series to decide the West Valley League championshp. Both teams rallied on Friday.

El Camino Real defeated Granada Hills, 5-4. Jordan Berg threw 6 1/3 innings.

Chatsworth outlasted Taft, 7-1, in eight innings. The Chancellors scored six runs in the eighth. Jake Ryan had three hits. Daniel Zakosek had a key two-run single. Sam Shaikin had two hits, including a triple in the eighth. Max Mehlbaum homered for Taft.

El Camino Real and Chatsworth will meet Wednesday at El Camino Real and Friday at Chatsworth. Chatsworth has a one-game lead after El Camino Real was forced to forfeit an April 25th victory because a pitcher exceeded the 10-inning limit for the week.
