Yawlhurrybacknow Wins at Los Alamitos

Kip Didericksen piloted Yawlhurrybacknow to her first career victory by a decisive half-length margin in Thursday night’s feature at Los Alamitos Race Course.

Racing as the third choice in the 350-yard event, Yawlhurrybacknow took command 100 yards from the gate and was never headed, finishing in 17.97 seconds. Yawlhurrybacknow returned $11.20, $6 and $4.60.

Jennyanydots, the 5-2 favorite, held off Truly A Merridoc to earn runner-up money under Bruce Pilkenton. Jennyanydots paid $4.00 and $3.60; Truly A Merridoc, ridden by James Lackey, returned $5.40 to show.
