Jones Is the Latest Titan Casualty
The injury bug continues to plague the Cal State Fullerton football team, which on Wednesday lost defensive end Jamal Jones because of strained knee ligaments.
Jones, the Titans’ third-leading tackler, was hurt in practice when he stepped on a teammate’s foot. He will miss Saturday’s game against the University of the Pacific. He should return for the Oct. 20 game at Hawaii.
The Titans already are without starting linebacker Clarence Siler, who injured his ankle against Fresno State two weeks ago and isn’t expected to return until next week.
J.C. Farrow, who has seen considerable action as Jones’ backup, will move into the starting lineup Saturday.
