Schwartz Wins First Speedway Event of Season
COSTA MESA —
Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa won the first speedway event of the season Friday night in front of 5,120 at the Orange County Fairgrounds.
Mike Faria of Colton was second in the scratch main with Phil Collins of Costa Mesa third and Josh Larsen of Newport Beach fourth.
Shawn McConnell of Brea won the eight-lap handicap main event coming off the 40-yard line. Gary Hicks of Riverside was second, Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano third and Faria fourth.
