POP MUSIC : SPRING ALBUM ROUNDUP : In Brief
** Kathy Troccoli, “Pure Attraction,” Reunion/Geffen. Brace yourselves: Here come the hordes of contemporary Christian/gospel artists trying to ride Amy Grant’s coattails up the pop charts. Sounds like she’s got nothing to worry about. Except for the irresistibly spunky, Taylor Dayne-ish “Everything Changes,” Troccoli’s first pop collection plays it so safe it could serve as the soundtrack to Caspar Milquetoast’s life.
Albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor) to four (excellent).
