Royal High begins defense of its Southern Section Division IV water polo championship against Arroyo Grande today at 3:15 p.m. at Rancho Simi Community Pool.
In other Division IV quarterfinals at 3:15 today, Buena plays Cabrillo at Cuesta College and Dos Pueblos plays at Agoura.
College events in the region today include:
Men’s basketball: At 7 p.m., Valley at Santa Barbara, Citrus at Glendale, College of the Sequoias at Antelope Valley.
Women’s basketball: At 7, Valley at Citrus, Mt. San Jacinto at Pierce.
