La Puente Bishop Amat (7-3) vs. Fountain Valley (7-3)

Fountain Valley started last week assured of at least third place in the Sunset League. But because of a 29-22 upset of Esperanza and winning the coin flip, the Barons got the league’s No. 1 berth. Mike Lamar has been solid and running back Andrew Medley is coming off his biggest game of the season in which he gained 165 yards and also caught a touchdown pass against Esperanza. Bishop Amat is the defending Division I champion, but fell to third place in the Del Rey League this season. Bishop Amat won the Division I baseball title last spring, beating Fountain Valley in the title game.
