Magnitude 3.6 Quake Hits Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA —
A magnitude 3.6 earthquake shook the city before dawn Friday.
The quake triggered numerous calls from the public, but there were no reports of damage or injury, said Police Sgt. Jim Ferguson. The 5:23 a.m. temblor was centered two miles south of Santa Barbara, said Nick Scheckel, a seismologist at Caltech in Pasadena.
