Agent Says Orosco Close to Re-Signing
The agent for Jesse Orosco said Monday the Dodgers are close to re-signing the pitcher to a minor league contract.
Alan Meersand, who represents baseball’s all-time appearance leader, said he believes a deal will be completed today.
“I talked to [interim General Manager] Dave Wallace a few times and everything went well,” Meersand said. “We’re making progress to put Jesse back in a Dodger uniform, which is where he wants to be.”
Orosco has already has received $115,000 in termination pay from the club, which released him March 30.
Orosco, 44, is expected to pitch for triple-A Las Vegas.
