Bailey, the Kings’ director of pro scouting, and Mark Bavis, an amateur scout for the Kings, were killed aboard a hijacked airliner that was deliberately crashed into the World Trade Center during the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Taylor said he has not decided how to restructure the scouting department but that he will probably do so within the next month.

“It’s a little soon,” he said. “We haven’t gone down that road yet.”
