UC Irvine (0-0) vs. Illinois Chicago (0-0) at Cincinnati, 3 p.m PST, KUCI-FM (88.9) -- The Anteaters, who posted exhibition victories over EA Sports and Cal State Los Angeles, open the regular season in the Black Coaches Assn. Classic. Irvine returns six key players from last season’s 20-9 team, including 7-foot senior center Adam Parada and 6-4 sophomore guard Jeff Gloger, who is expected to move to the point. The Flames were 21-9 last season and played in the NIT.
