P Josh Romansky, Norco Sr.

Finished 10-1 with an 0.42 ERA, striking out 128 in 66 innings and walking only nine. Also hit .506 with seven homers and 40 RBIs.

P Adam Wilk, Cypress Jr.

Went 10-2 for the Division II champions, with six shutouts among his 11 complete games. His last complete game came in title game.

C Bryan Anderson, Simi Valley Sr.

A two-time selection, Anderson hit .414 for the Pioneers before he was drafted in the fourth round by the St. Louis Cardinals.

1B Thomas Milone, Saugus Sr.

Hit .474 with seven home runs and went 9-2 on the mound with a perfect game, leading the Centurions on an 18-game winning streak.

IF Hector Rabago, Riverside Poly Jr.

Batted just under. 400 for the Division I finalists, slamming nine homers and driving in 44 runs, and was 6-1 on the mound with four saves.

IF Justin Sellers, Marina Sr.

As Sunset League player of the year, the shortstop batted .407 with four homers and 16 RBIs. He signed with Cal State Fullerton but was drafted in the sixth round by the Oakland Athletics.

IF Mike Torres, Mater Dei Sr.

Named Times’ player of the year, the second baseman hit .459 with 23 RBIs and 19 stolen bases to help the Monarchs to the Division I title.

OF Trevor Bell, Crescenta Valley Sr.

Batted .367 with eight home runs for the Falcons and was 8-3 with an 0.97 ERA. Was the Angels’ first pick — 37th overall — in the major league first-year draft.

OF Joe Dickerson, Esperanza Sr.

Batted .423 with seven homers, eight doubles, three triples and 20 RBIs. The center fielder signed with Texas but was drafted in the fourth round by the Kansas City Royals.

OF Jermaine Williams, Los Angeles Sr.

Stole 44 bases and scored 51 runs for the Romans, and despite walking 28 times, still hit .566 with six home runs and 30 RBIs. Selected in the seventh round by the Philadelphia Phillies.

UT Brandon Laird, Westminster La Quinta Sr.

Batted .545 with eight homers and 46 RBIs and was 12-1 with a 1.91 ERA and 124 strikeouts for the Aztecs. Committed only two errors at shortstop.

Coach of the Year: Dave Lewis, Cypress

Led a starting lineup that included only three seniors to the Southern Section Division II title with a 7-1 victory over Yucaipa, then resigned after the season, his fifth at Cypress.
