Football: Chris Varner is new coach at West Ranch
West Ranch has hired former Canyon Country Canyon coach Chris Varner as its new football coach.
Varner coached at Canyon from 2007 to 2010.
The Cowboys went 10-2 in 2010, his final season.
Nordhoff hired Lance Wiggins as its new coach. He has been a Nordhoff freshman coach and served as an assistant to former Nordhoff Coach Tony Henney at Westlake.
