Juergen Klinsmann’s son apologizes for tweet mocking Landon Donovan
Jonathan Klinsmann, son of U.S. soccer coach Juergen Klinsmann, apologized Thursday night for sending out a disrespectful tweet about Landon Donovan after Donovan was cut from the U.S. World Cup team Thursday.
In the tweet, Klinsmann wrote “HHAHAHAHAHAHAH DONAVAN HAHAHAHAA I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE UNTIL PHONE NOTIFIED ME HAHA”
After receiving many responses telling him he was wrong to make fun of perhaps the greatest player in U.S. soccer history, he tweeted, “Yes, I deleted the tweet, Yes, I realize it was VERY classless. But again, My sincerest apologies to everyone who was offended.”
He then deleted his entire Twitter account.
