Watch Kings score twice in 22 seconds to defeat Sharks in Game 2

Share

Wow. That’s pretty much all you can say after the Kings’ amazing comeback Thursday night to defeat the San Jose Sharks and win Game 2 of their Western Conference semifinal playoff series.

The Kings were trailing, 3-2, late in the third period when they went on a five-on-three power play after Sharks defenseman Brad Stuart went off for tripping at 17:19 and then defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic was sent to the box for delay of game for shooting the puck over the glass.

With the Staples Center crowd on its feet, Kings captain Dustin Brown tied the score with 1:43 left in the third period. The crowd hadn’t even quieted down from that goal when Trevor Lewis scored 22 seconds later to give the Kings a 4-3 lead and an improbable victory.

And you just know that somewhere Jarret Stoll was smiling.

The Kings now lead the best-of-seven series, 2-0. Game 3 is Saturday night in San Jose.
