Up next for UCLA basketball: Thursday vs. Stanford
When: 8.
Where: Sports Arena.
On the air: TV: Prime Ticket. Radio: 570.
Records: UCLA 13-10, 6-5 in Pac-12; Stanford 16-7, 6-5.
Update: UCLA lost at Stanford, 60-59, in a Pac-12 opener Dec. 29. Bruins guard Lazeric Jones has seen the game tape once. “That was enough,” he said. Jones, who had 26 points in that game, had his shot blocked with three seconds left. “I knew where I messed up,” Jones said. “We had a guy wide open and I should have passed.” Center Joshua Smith seems to be on the verge of consistency, having scored 24 points against Washington and 19 against Washington State last week. His performance against Washington State took the sting out of losing forward Travis Wear, who is unlikely to play again Thursday because of a high ankle sprain. Stanford, once 5-1 in Pac-12 play, has lost four of its last five games.
