Up next for Chivas USA: at Dallas on Saturday
When: 5:30 p.m. PDT.
Where: Toyota Stadium, Frisco, Texas.
On the air: TV: KDOC; Radio: 1220.
Records: Chivas USA 2-5-3, FC Dallas 5-5-1.
Record vs. FC Dallas: 0-1.
Update: Chivas USA got some much needed firepower up front last week when Marvin Chavez scored two goals in his debut to lead the team to a 3-1 victory over Colorado. With the future of leading striker Erick Torres — on loan from Guadalajara until June — up in the air for Chivas USA, Chavez is the team’s best offensive threat going forward. FC Dallas, which beat Chivas USA, 3-1, earlier this season, is hobbling into Saturday’s game after losing four in a row and sustaining long-term injuries to key players Kellyn Acosta, Hendry Thomas and Mauro Diaz. None of those three players will be available for Saturday’s game.
