Quarterback

Cody Fajardo, Anaheim Servite, 6-2, 200, Sr.: Cut early on reality TV show, this playmaker went all the way in leading Friars to their first state championship bowl victory. Completed 69.3% of his passes for 2,444 yards and 21 touchdowns with only two interceptions.

Running backs

Malcolm Jones, Westlake Village Oaks Christian, 6-0, 217, Sr.: Surpassed Marc Tyler’s single-season school rushing record with 2,477 yards and 40 touchdowns. Gatorade’s national player of the year has committed to UCLA.

Deontae Cooper, Perris Citrus Hill, 6-1, 205, Sr.: Ran for more than 200 yards eight times, exceeded 300 yards rushing in three games and topped 400 yards in one game. Had 2,863 yards rushing and 34 touchdowns.

Wide receivers

Geno Hall, Los Angeles Crenshaw, 5-8, 160, Sr. Developed a knack for coming up with the big catch while being double- and triple-teamed. Made 49 catches for 751 yards and eight touchdowns.

Nelson Spruce, Westlake Village Westlake, 6-2, 190, Jr.: Made 65 catches for 1,325 yards and 18 touchdowns for 14-0 Warriors.

Antoine Arnold, Temecula Chaparral, 6-4, 180, Jr.: Demanded the ball on Pumas’ final drive during the Inland Division title game and made a pair of catches to help secure 13-7 victory. Had 79 catches for 1,536 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Offensive line

Wade Yandall, Carson, 6-4, 295, Sr.: All-City tackle helped Colts win the Marine League title and earn a No. 2 seeding for the playoffs. Has scholarship offers from UCLA and Arizona State.

Chris Ward, Santa Ana Mater Dei, 6-5, 300, Sr.: Top lineman in the Trinity League cleared running paths and protected quarterback Max Wittek. Committed to UCLA.

Erik Kohler, Oaks Christian, 6-5, 285, Sr.: Anchored a line that paved the way for tailback Malcolm Jones’ prolific season. Committed to Washington.

Giovanni DiPoalo, Ventura St. Bonaventure, 6-4, 260, Sr.: One of best linemen in history of school that has produced some great ones. Committed to USC.

Sil Ajawara, Rancho Santa Margarita Tesoro, 6-5, 320, Sr.: Only returning starter from last season’s mammoth line was a bright spot for the Titans during a .500 season. Committed to Arizona State.

Kicker

Jake Van Ginkel, Upland, 6-0, 175, Jr.: Kicked 16 field goals and 64.9% of his kickoffs went for touchbacks.

Defensive line

Justin Utupo, Lakewood, 6-3, 250, Sr.: Registered 16 sacks and 29 tackles for losses and forced four fumbles. Also made seven touchdown catches at tight end. Committed to Notre Dame.

Brent Williams, Woodland Hills Taft, 6-3, 205, Sr.: Dominant end had five sacks, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. Committed to Washington.

Cassius Marsh, Oaks Christian, 6-5, 288, Sr.: Terrorized opposing offensive lines while making 16 sacks. Committed to Louisiana State.

Linebackers

Ronald Powell, Moreno Valley Rancho Verde, 6-4, 250, Sr.: Four-year varsity starter switched from end to linebacker to fill a team need. Had 13 sacks, nine tackles for losses, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.

Jordan Zumwalt, Huntington Beach Edison, 6-4, 218, Sr.: Defensive MVP of the Sunset League averaged 13.7 tackles and seemingly made just as many bone-jarring hits. Committed to Stanford.

Tre Madden, Mission Viejo, 6-1, 220 Jr.: Possessed speed and toughness to lead Orange County’s best linebacking corps. Also was effective running out of the wildcat formation.

Ronald Stovall, Crenshaw, 6-0, 185, Sr.: Hard-nosed defender was in the middle of a Cougars unit that recorded four shutouts and held opponents to only 12 points per game. Had a team-leading 13 sacks and 159 tackles.

Defensive backs

De’Anthony Thomas, Crenshaw, 5-11, 165, Jr.: Two-way star generated plenty of highlights on defense and will be one of the most coveted recruits in Southern California next season.

Sean Parker, Harbor City Narbonne, 6-0, 185, Sr.: All-American was a playmaker on both sides of the ball who helped Gauchos reach the City Section championship game the last two years.

Robert Woods, Gardena Serra, 6-1, 185, Sr.: Equally intimidating on offense -- he caught 66 passes for 1,112 yards and 15 touchdowns -- and defense. Made eight interceptions. Committed to USC.

Dietrich Riley, La Canada St. Francis, 6-1, 205, Sr.: Standout safety intercepted three passes and made 64 tackles.

Punter

Derrick Brown, Vista Murrieta, 6-3, 220, Jr.: Averaged 45.9 yards per punt and placed 11 inside the opponent’s 20-yard line.
