Alana Beard made a shot with 10.2 seconds left to lift the Sparks over the host Seattle Storm, 65-64, on Saturday at KeyArena.

Nneka Ogwumike, who blocked layup attempts by Seattle’s Temeka Johnson and Tina Thompson in the last second, led the Sparks with 24 points and nine rebounds.

The Sparks (12-5) trailed 39-31 at halftime and were down 64-61 with 37.9 seconds left. But point guard Lindsey Harding got a quick layup with 30.9 seconds left to cut Seattle’s lead to 64-63, and the Storm’s Shekinna Stricklen missed a three-point shot with 22.9 seconds left, setting up Beard’s game-deciding pull-up jump shot that gave the Sparks their first lead of the fourth quarter. The Storm (6-10), which is playing without injured Sue Bird and Lauren Jackson, was led by Camille Little’s 22 points.
