Angels to open 2015 season at Seattle, face NL West in interleague play

The Angels will open the 2015 season with a three-game series in Seattle from April 6 to 8, and their home opener will be against the Kansas City Royals on April 10. They will close the regular season with a four-game series at Texas from Oct. 1 to 4.

The 20-game interleague portion of the schedule will be against the National League West, with six of those games against the Dodgers, up from the four games the Angels have played against their Southern California rivals in recent years.

The Angels will have home interleague series against Colorado (May 12-13), San Diego (May 25-27), Arizona (June 17-18) and the Dodgers (July 31-Aug. 2) and road series at San Francisco (May 1-3), Arizona (June 17-18), Colorado (July 7-8) and the Dodgers (Sept. 7-9).

The Angels will have two East Coast trips, to Baltimore, Toronto and Boston from May 15 to 24 and to New York and Tampa Bay from June 5 to 11. After that, they will not travel to the Eastern time zone again until facing Detroit and Cleveland from Aug. 25 to 30.

The Angels will play 25 of their final 32 games against American League West opponents.
