LeBron James didn't respond right away. At least not directly to the heckler sitting courtside whose loud, raspy voice could be heard by a national TV audience -- "Just suck it up, LeBron!" -- late in the second half during Cleveland's game Sunday in Oklahoma City.
James was pretty busy arguing a non-call with the referee, which is what drew the woman's ire. But the Cavaliers superstar got the last laugh, at least metaphorically, with 25 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds in his team's 115-92 victory over the Thunder.
But later Sunday night, James literally got the last laugh, assuming a "hahahaha" on social media counts as a literal laugh these days.
So James took it all in stride. Incidentally, the woman is reportedly Judy Love, a gas station and convenience store tycoon estimated by Forbes to be worth $2.4 billion -- meaning she has some 2.4 billion reasons to take James' response in stride as well.Copyright © 2017, Los Angeles Times
