Shabazz Muhammad sent home after getting caught in transition game
Adieu, Shabazz.
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Shabazz Muhammad has been sent home from the NBA’s Rookie Transition Program, USA Today reported.
The former UCLA player’s big crime was bringing a female guest into his hotel room. So did he get sent home or merely graduate from the program?
The four-day program held in New Jersey helps rookies transition into the league. A woman in a hotel room would seem to have Muhammad making that transition well, judging by the league’s history.
Heck, the Lakers’ James Worthy was arrested for having two women from an “escort” service come to his hotel room in 1990. He was charged for solicitation of prostitution.
Muhammad has to pay for his evening as well. He will be fined by the league. The program does not allow guests unless approved by the program’s administrators.
