Pelicans beat Cavaliers despite LeBron James' 41 points

The New Orleans Pelicans overcame the loss of Anthony Davis and 41 points by Cleveland's LeBron James to defeat the Cavaliers, 119-114, Friday night at New Orleans. Davis left the game in the first quarter after taking an elbow to the chest while jostling for position during a free throw by Kevin Love. The Pelicans, however, picked themselves up as Tyreke Evans had 31 points and 10 assists, and Ryan Anderson tied a career high by making eight three-point shots en route to his 30 points. James, returning from a one-game absence because of a sore knee, made 17 of 24 shots, and Love added 21 points but the Cavaliers trailed by as many as 19 points in the fourth quarter.
