World Cup players from Portugal threatened to boycott training through the start of the soccer tournament this weekend to press their demands for higher bonuses from their national soccer federation.

A federation official, who asked not to be identified, said the whole squad could be sent home if the players continued to pursue their request for double the bonuses they have been offered.
