Titans Advance 3 to Midwest Wrestling Semifinals

Three Cal State Fullerton wrestlers advanced to today’s semifinal matches at the Midwest Wrestling Championships at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Fullerton’s top-seeded heavyweight David Jones, with an 8-2 individual record, will face Chris Knutsen from fifth-ranked Iowa State. Undefeated Titan Rich Zele (7-0), seeded first in the 150-pound class, meets Missouri’s Greg Warren. Cody Bryant (8-2-1), seeded fifth in the 134-pound class, will face John Smith from Oklahoma State, the top-seed in the weight class and a former world champion.
