Senior Justin Cheen scored 11 goals and Damon Willick added 10 to lead Harvard High to a 37-1 victory over San Dimas in the first round of the Southern Section 2-A Division water polo playoffs Thursday at Harvard.
The Saracens, 2-A runners-up last season, improved to 23-3. They scored 25 goals in the first half and scored the match’s first 37 goals.
The margin of victory and goal totals are the largest since Coach Rich Corso joined the Harvard program 3 seasons ago.
“We played everyone,” Corso said. “We played our freshmen and our sophomores.
“I just think we’re a good ballclub and people have to understand that.”
San Dimas ended its season with a 4-9 record.
