Bolling Sets Mark With 29th Homer
Saddleback’s Kirk Bolling set a school mark form home runs Monday in the Gauchos’ 20-2 victory over Mt. San Jacinto in a nonconference baseball game.
Bolling, a sophomore third baseman, hit a two-run homer in the eighth, his second of the game, to give him 15 for the season and 29 in two years. The previous mark of 28 was set by Steve DeAngelis in 1983-84.
In the Orange Empire Conference golf championship:
Saddleback finishes second--Tom Larsen shot rounds of 73 and 74 on the par 72 Singing Hills course to help the Gauchos finish second to Riverside (752). Saddleback had 773. Santa Ana (774) was third.
