Update: Just three days after its CONCACAF Champions League opener, the Galaxy returns to MLS play Sunday against FC Dallas, part of a stretch that will feature Bruce Arena’s team playing four times in 10 days. Galaxy captain Landon Donovan, listed as questionable for Sunday because of a strained left hamstring, didn’t dress for the CCL win over Isidro Metapan, but David Beckham did, scoring a goal and setting up two others in just his second match in five weeks. After a slow start, the Galaxy appears to have hit its stride, going 5-1-2 in its last eight MLS matches. But Dallas has been just as hot, winning three times in a recent eight-day span. It has lost only one of its last six MLS games, outscoring opponents, 13-5, but that one loss was a 1-0 setback to the Galaxy in Dallas last month.
