Football: QB Chase Garbers of Corona del Mar is rolling
Chase Garbers of Corona del Mar should be one of the top QBs in SoCal this fall.
Yes, there was disappointment when Corona del Mar lost its season opener to Palos Verdes, but the Sea Kings (4-1) have rolled to four consecutive victories, and quarterback Chase Garbers is living up to preseason expectations.
Garbers, a Cal commit, has attempted 134 passes without an interception.
He has passed for 1,363 yards and 16 touchdowns while completing 69%.
Junior TaeVon Le has caught 38 passes for 637 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Corona del Mar appears headed for a 9-1 regular season, then will make a strong bid for a Southern Section Division 4 title.
