Eric Sondheimer

Eric Sondheimer is the prep sports columnist for the Los Angeles Times. He has been honored five times by the California Prep Sportswriters Assn. for best prep sports column. A graduate of Cal State Northridge, he joined the Daily News as prep editor in 1980. He left for 18 months in 1990 to be West Coast correspondent for the National Sports Daily. He returned to the Daily News in 1981 and joined The Times in 1997 covering high school sports.
Former Oaks Christian player David Serge of Cal honors his community after mass shooting

David Serge, a former Oaks Christian basketball player who plays for Cal, honored the victims of the Thousand Oaks Borderline Bar and Grill shootings while playing basketball in Shanghai on Nov. 9. He wrote on his shoes “Borderline” and “TO Strong.” It was captured on the TV broadcast.

Quarterback Blake Archuleta of Bishop Amat is Mission League MVP

Quarterback Blake Archuleta of Bishop Amat has been selected the MVP of the Mission League by the coaches. The MVP offensive player was running back Christian Grubb of Sherman Oaks Notre Dame. The co-MVP defensive players were safety Deven Jarvis of Bishop Amat and linebacker Blake Antzoulatos.
