In Southern California college baseball, former Culver City pitcher Tyler Mark of Concordia and former Bishop Amat pitcher David Berg of UCLA are letting high school pitchers see what a closer is supposed to look like.

Mark, a junior, has 20 saves for Concordia, an NAIA school in Irvine. He's 3-0 with a 1.24 ERA.

Berg, a senior sidearmer, is 4-0 with an 0.96 ERA and eight saves. He hasn't allowed any runs in Pac-12 play this season, a scoreless innings streak of 22.
