Boys' basketball: Calabasas advances in 1AA playoffs

Calabasas is starting to peek, and the Coyotes have advanced to the Southern Section 1AA quarterfinals after a 68-52 upset of Renaissance on Tuesday night. Cameron Glassen and Ryan Ducar each scored 15 poitns and Conner Longmire added 13.

Marquise Mosley had 25 points for Renaissance. Calabasas will be on the road to face Village Christian on Friday night. Jerrick Ahanmisi had 23 points and Bennie Boatwright and Clifton Powell 20 points apiece in Village Christian's 85-71 win over Corona Santiago.

Long Beach Millikan defeated Oak Park, 93-89. Michael Alvarez scored 36 points and Riley Battin with 17 rebounds for Oak Park. Los Alamitos defeated Valencia, 65-61. Santa Margarita defeated Rancho Cucamonga, 74-59. Jordan Guest scored 18 points, Noah Rasheed 17 and Kaden Rasheed 16.

In 1A, Loyola defeated Villa Park, 77-68, and will face Walnut on Friday. Stone Gettings scored 22 points and Max Hazzard had 20. Westlake defeated Huntington Beach, 89-81, in overtime. Isaiah Brooks scored 31 points and had 12 assists. Michael Hanshaw added 20 points and 12 rebounds. Foothill defeated Troy, 60-53.

In 2AA, Thousand Oaks defeated Garden Grove, 77-23. Matt Hauser had 22 points. In 2A, Myles Franklin scored 26 points in Hart's 68-47 win over Cerritos. Quincy Pinkard scored 15 points and Chimezie Metu added 14 points, eight rebounds and seven blocks in Lawndale's 68-54 win over Kaiser.

In 2A, La Mirada defeated Agoura, 64-42. Vittorio Reynoso-Avila had 21 points.

In 3A, Beverly Hills defeated Gabrielino, 69-54. Esperanza defeated Servite, 62-61

In 4A, Tyler Dorsey scored 40 points in Maranatha's 80-59 win over St. Genevieve. Buckley defeated Crean Lutheran, 73-35. Mike Meadows made seven threes and finished with 30 points. Cambpell Hall defeated San Gabriel Academy, 77-59. Aaron Holiday finished with 32 points.

In 5AA, Windward defeated New Community Jewish, 86-41. Roman Davis contributed 10 points and seven blocks. Brentwood defeated Woodcrest, 72-45. Maxwell Kupchak had 22 points and Ountae Campbell 18. Viewpoint defeated St. Margaret's, 71-51.  Miye Oni had 26 points.

In 5A, Bell-Jeff defeated Lone Pine, 81-67. Abid Oses had 24 points.
