Boys' basketball: Westlake defeats Thousand Oaks, 61-52

For the third consecutive year, Westlake has gone to Thousand Oaks, taken on its Green Hole student section and won.

The Warriors knocked off the Lancers, 61-52, on Friday night in a Marmonte League game. Isaiah Brooks led Westlake with 16 points. Michael Hayon had 12 rebounds. Matt Hauser had 22 points for Thousand Oaks.

Westlake improved to 16-3 and 3-0. Thousand Oaks dropped to 17-3 and 2-1. Calabasas defeated Newbury Park, 78-41. Justin Bessard and Conner Longmire each had 13 points.

Ryan Manoocheri of Beverly Hills set a school record with 12 three-pointers and finished with 37 points in an 86-59 win over Hawthorne. Chance Comanche added 15 points and 19 rebounds.

In Canada, unbeaten Fairfax (16-0) defeated Kitsilano, 134-60. Jeremy Hamilton had 25 points, Babacar Thiombane 24 and Donald Gipson 22.

In the Trinity League, Mater Dei stayed unbeaten in league with a 70-51 win over Orange Lutheran. Rex Pflueger scored 25 points. St. John Bosco defeated JSerra, 77-64. Rodney Henderson led the Braves with 23 points. Santa Margarita defeated Servite, 64-55.

In the Mission League, Harvard-Westlake upset Chaminade, 75-72, behind Alex Copeland's 33 points. Crespi rallied for a 47-45 win over Notre Dame. De'Anthony Melton had 13 points and 11 rebounds. Crespi trailed by 11 points at halftime. Freshman Brandon Williams gave Crespi the lead with under 30 seconds left. Loyola defeated St. Francis, 48-34. Max Hazzard had 16 points.

In the Del Rey League, Christian Oshita had 24 points and Stephen Thompson Jr. added 22 points in Bishop Montgomery's 80-76 win over Cathedral. The Knights led by 22 points in the third quarter. Lucas Siewert scored 27 points for Cathedral. Gligorije Rakocevic had 30 points and 17 rebounds in Cantwell-Sacred Heart's 75-49 win over St. Bernard.

In the Foothill League, Ryan Beddeo scored 30 points in West Ranch's 50-48 win over Hart. Valencia defeated Saugus, 62-52.

In the Coastal Canyon League, freshman Riley Battin had 28 points in Oak Park's 71-40 win over Simi Valley.

In the Olympic League, Bennie Boatwright scored 40 points in Village Christian's 79-45 win over Whittier Christian.

In Missouri, Chino Hills defeated Parkview, 61-45.

In the East Valley League, Grant defeated North Hollywood, 56-53. Chad Holloway had 19 points and Tal Gonen 16, all in the second half. Cesar Reyes scored 31 points in Poly's 82-53 win over Arleta. Verdugo Hills defeated Chavez, 71-42. Carter Otte had 19 points.

In the West Valley League, El Camino Real defeated Cleveland, 75-34. Chris Terry scored 14 points. Taft defeated Granada Hills, 65-52. Darrius Henderson had 17 points.

In the Western League, Westchester defeated Hamilton, 63-46. Keith Fisher scored 16 points. University upset Palisades, 77-68. Nick Brooks scored 19 points.

In the Tri-Valley League, St. Bonaventure improved to 3-0 with a 65-41 win over Bishop Diego. Darius Vines had 15 points.

Redondo defeated Morningside, 68-41.

San Marino defeated Monrovia, 49-42. Brian Low had 13 points. Flintridge Prep defeated McAuliffe, 60-54. Dante Fregoso finished with 22 points.
