NFL prospects trashed hotel room with feces, urine during combine

A hotel room was left in such disgusting condition after February’s NFL scouting combine that the manager took pictures and sent them to the event’s organizer.

National Football Scouting president Jeff Foster confirmed to Yahoo!Sports that a room in the Crowne Plaza in Indianapolis was found after the combine with feces and urine scattered in the bathroom, toothpaste on a mirror and garbage, including uneaten food, all over.

“I can confirm that a room was left in an inappropriate condition and we’re disappointed by both players who occupied the room,” Foster said. “There was no material damage to the room; otherwise we would be pursuing further action and really be trying to get to the bottom of the situation. It’s just very disappointing, and the people we feel the worst for are the people at the Crowne Plaza who had to clean it up.”

Foster would not say which two players shared the room for two nights. Yahoo is reporting that sources say one of the prospects is “a potential first-round pick in next week’s NFL draft.”

Foster and other sources say the players to whom the room was registered have denied their involvement when questioned by NFL team representatives at their pro days. Yahoo said that the agents for the players also denied their clients’ involvement.

More than 10 teams have contacted Foster about the report since Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune broke the story over the weekend.
