Jeremy Lin scored a season-high 35 points, Kemba Walker had 27 and the Charlotte Hornets defeated the Toronto Raptors, 109-99, in overtime on Thursday night in Charlotte, N.C.

P.J. Hairston had 14 points, including a three-pointer with 90 seconds left in overtime that put the Hornets ahead to stay.

DeMar DeRozan scored 31 points, Kyle Lowry added 20 and Terrence Ross had 17 for Toronto. Bismack Biyombo, who spent four seasons with Charlotte, had a career-best 18 rebounds while blocking seven shots and scoring eight points.

The Raptors rallied back from a 16-point deficit late in the third quarter.

The Hornets led 72-56 on Lin’s layup with 4:14 left in the third period. The Raptors came back, eventually tying it at 90 on DeRozan’s jumper with 26 seconds remaining.

Toronto took its only lead of the game on Lowry’s layup 15 seconds into overtime. After two ties, Hairston hit his three-pointer. The Hornets closed out the game by outscoring the Raptors 10-3 over the final 67 seconds, going 8 of 8 from the free-throw line.

Behind Lin’s 18 first-half points, Charlotte pulled ahead of Toronto early, leading by as many as 13 points and taking a 56-44 margin at the break.

The Hornets shot 50% from the field (22 of 44) over the first two quarters, and made 7 of 18 3-pointers. Meanwhile, the Raptors made just 16 of 41 (39%) and only 3 of 15 3-pointers.

at Cleveland 104, Oklahoma City 100: LeBron James crashed into the crowd and injured the wife of golf star Jason Day during the Cavaliers’ win.

Ellie Day was taken from the arena on a backboard. There was no immediate report on her condition.

The 6-foot-8, 240-pound James was scrambling for a loose ball in the fourth quarter when he plowed into her as she sat in a courtside side.

Day is the No. 2-ranked golfer in the world. He won the PGA Championship this year for his first major win on the PGA Tour. On Nov. 11, Ellie gave birth to the couple’s second child, a girl named Lucy.

James scored 33 points and added 11 assists and nine rebounds. Tristan Thompson had 15 rebounds for the Cavs, who improved to 11-1 at home.

Russell Westbrook scored 27 and Kevin Durant 25 for the Thunder, who had won six in a row. Oklahoma City was down 98-89 with three minutes left and closed within 103-100, but both Durant and Westbrook missed 3-pointers in the final 10 seconds.
