Update: The Sparks won Game 1 of the best-of-five semifinal series, 95-75, on Wednesday, led by Candace Parker (30 points and nine rebounds) and WNBA most valuable player Nneka Ogwumike (27 points, 10 rebounds and six assists). The Sky was without leading scorer Elena Delle Donne, who is coming off right thumb surgery and is unlikely to play Friday. In her absence, Jamierra Faulkner came off the bench to lead the Sky’s balanced scoring effort with 13 points. The Sparks shot 52.9% from the field to help make up for 17 turnovers, while the Sky shot only 41.7%.
