Clippers closing in on playoff berth
The Clippers are closing in on their third consecutive playoff berth.
The Clippers need any combination of four wins or four losses by the Phoenix Suns to clinch
a playoff spot.
On Wednesday night, the Clippers play at the New Orleans Pelicans and the Suns play at the Washington Wizards.
Even though the Clippers have defeated the Pelicans all three times this season by an average 19.3 points per game, it doesn’t figure to be an easy time for Los Angeles.
The Pelicans have won three consecutive games, seven of their last 10.
The Pelicans duo of forwards Anthony Davis and Tyreke Evans have combined to average 53.4 points, 19.2 rebounds and 8.3 assists in their past 10 games.
