Clippers center DeAndre Jordan came in fifth for the NBA's most improved player award announced Wednesday by the league, and Blake Griffin was seventh.

Jordan, who had a career-best season that included averages of a career-high 10.4 points and an NBA-best 13.6 rebounds per game, had four first-place votes and 66 total.

Jordan came in third in voting for the NBA’s defensive player of the year award.

Griffin, who averaged a career-high 24.1 points per game, had six first-place votes and 39
total.

Suns point guard Goran Dragic won the most improved player award.
