The rookies continued their assault on the 2015 LPGA season as Minjee Lee earned her first career win at the Kingsmill Championship on Monday.

The 18-year-old Australian recovered from a three-putt bogey to finish with two pars and secure the victory at 15-under.

“It just kind of gives me confidence that I can play out here and win out here,” she said.

The tournament in Williamsburg, Va., stretched into Monday after being halted by darkness the previous evening.

So Yeon Ryu finished second at 13 under with another, Alison Lee, another stroke back in third.

Lee now joins Sei Young Kim and Hyo Joo Kim, who have also notched victories in their first season on the tour.

“I know we’re rookies but I feel like so many rookies are doing so well,” Lee said. “We found that fire in us to play well.”
