USC football: Tight end Randall Telfer will return for final season
USC tight end Randall Telfer announced Wednesday that he would return for a final season with the Trojans.
Telfer, a junior, is among several juniors and third-year sophomores who have until mid-January to decide whether they will make themselves available for the NFL draft. Telfer made his announcement via his Twitter feed.
Telfer struggled with multiple injuries this season and caught only six passes, including one for 11 yards in the Trojans’ 45-20 Las Vegas Bowl victory over Fresno State.
Tight end Xavier Grimble is draft-eligible but said previously that he would probably return for his final season.
Safety Dion Bailey announced Monday that he would make himself available for the NFL draft.
Receiver Marqise Lee is expected to do the same.
