Nevada Las Vegas scored three runs in the top of the 11th inning to break a scoreless tie and held on to defeat Cal State Fullerton, 3-2, in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. South Division game at Titan Field on Sunday.

Starter and loser Mike Belanger (8-3) walked two batters in the 11th before giving way to Mike Harkey, who walked the next batter to load the bases. Mike Oglesbee hit a sacrifice fly to score one run. Catcher Tim Arnold doubled in the second run for the Rebels and the last run was scored on an infield hit.

In the bottom of the 11th, Jeff Farber walked and Titan catcher Rich Slominski hit a two-run homer, but it wasn’t enough to catch the Rebels. Billy Wells went all the way for UNLV, striking out five and walking six in improving his record to 8-2.
