Bar10 opens Friday with cocktails and drunken mac ‘n’ cheese
While some bars are trying to expand their cocktail menus, Bar10 is keeping things simple.
At the new cocktail-focused bar and restaurant, opening Friday in West Hollywood, there are only 10 cocktails on the menu. Each drink is made by one of the restaurant’s bartenders, or owner Daniel Cammarata. And they’re all priced at $10.
Highlights include the Saladito, made with El Silencio mezcal, honey, lemon and cayenne pepper; Gin Flower, made with Hendricks gin, St. Germain, lemon, simple syrup and sage; The Bad Boy, made with Tullamore Dew whiskey, Remy Martin, lemon, orange juice and simple syrup; and The Swede, made with Rekorder Lip Pear cider, Hanson’s ginger vodka and cayenne pepper.
For dinner, there’s a drunken mac ‘n’ cheese; Margherita and meatlovers’ flatbreads; beef and vegetarian burgers; Caesar and mixed green salads; and fried or grilled chicken and salmon, served with vegetables and quinoa.
The restaurant will also be open for brunch, and plans on serving breakfast bowls; strawberry cream cheese-stuffed French toast; breakfast burritos; breakfast pasta; and avocado toast. And because it’s brunch in L.A., bottomless mimosas for $14.
The space was formerly occupied by the short-lived restaurant The Horn, and was redesigned by Dadam Design, LLC. There’s a large bar with high-top tables, plenty of seats and a pool table.
Bar10 will be open daily for dinner from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Brunch will be served on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Happy hour specials, including $1 oysters and $4 glasses of select wine and beers, will be offered nightly from 5 to 8 p.m.
